Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall would represent a smart signing for Arsenal (Image: GETTY)It is hard to believe Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has only been on the Premier League scene for just 14 months. He already feels part of the top-flight’s furniture. The eye-catching, all-action, box-to-box midfielder is enjoying a remarkable rise to prominence under Brendan Rodgers at the King Power Stadium and it now seems only a matter of time before he receives international recognition with England. The World Cup has arguably come one year too soon for the 24-year-old, who is now starting to showcase exactly why the Foxes were so patient with his personal development before integrating him into the first-team set-up.A decisive loan spell with Luton Town in the Championship in 2020/21 proved to be the turning point for the Leicester academy graduate, who ripped up the second-tier of English football to earn the Player of the Year award for the Hatters. And following a stellar breakthrough campaign last season in the East Midlands, Dewsbury-Hall is now a regular pick in Rodgers’ midfield. With contract rebel Youri Tielemans due to depart this summer on a free transfer, his value to the Foxes is only destined to grow.Leicester recently awarded the explosive midfielder with a new lucrative long-term contract which now reflects his importance to the club. Although details of the deal have not yet been disclosed, it’s highly probable it contains a bumper release clause to protect his price tag.READ MORE: Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta explains Kieran Tierney call as Premier League snub continues Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has not been linked with Arsenal but he fits their team like a glove (Image: GETTY)If Dewsbury-Hall continues to perform at current rate, Leicester would therefore hold all the cards over any potential sale further down the line. None of the so-called Big Six have been linked with a move for the industrious No 8 to date but that is seemingly only a matter of time. There is one club in particular that would be fully complimentary of Dewsbury-Hall’s attributes and style of play: Arsenal. They are this season’s surprise package in the Premier League – much to the credit of their perfectionist tactician Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard has elevated the Gunners to new heights on the field, offering increased hope that they can achieve something special under his leadership.Since Arteta and Edu have overhauled Arsenal’s transfer policy, the Gunners have had huge success in the market targeting players under the age of 25. Dewsbury-Hall ticks that box but not only that, he is also a central midfielder, which is one of the club’s transfer priorities at the moment.READ MOREMan Utd told PSV ‘will now accept’ £25m for Cody Gakpo after Erik ten Hag transfer talksArsenal can finally land winger signing by beating Man Utd to discounted £25m bargainMan Utd star Antony already warned he will ‘get kicked up in air’ over showboatingThe Gunners failed with three deadline day bids for Douglas Luiz in September before the Brazilian surprisingly penned a new long-term contract with the Midlands club just before the sacking of Steven Gerrard. Now Arsenal will have to move onto other targets with Palmeiras star Danilo also of interest to the club’s recruitment department.Although it must be noted that Dewsbury-Hall is not a defensive midfielder, he would certainly be capable competition for Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey. In many ways, he is a great fit for the role Xhaka is currently playing under Arteta, which has seen him get more involved in the final third of the pitch. Hence his goalscoring form.He is confident in possession and loves to drive forward with the ball. He is full of poise and positivity and given Arsenal are now dominating possession, he could be the ideal acquisition for their progressive style of attacking football.Dewsbury-Hall has the technical ability and athleticism to impact games at both ends of the pitch, as he is now doing for Leicester. That’s exactly why he would be such an impressive fit for Arsenal’s project, providing they would be willing to take a punt on his services.Given the fee Leicester are likely to demand, it is likely to require significant investment but Deswbury-Hall is a talent that is only heading in one direction. On the up.
