James Corden still doesn’t regret appearing in Cats despite it getting panned by the public and critics alike.
The 2019 film was based off the acclaimed musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and featured an incredible line-up of actors, including Dame Judi Dench, Idris Elba and even Taylor Swift.
With such a solid basis and strong cast, there was a general expectation that Cats would be, if not amazing, at least good. This turned out not to be the case.
Everything from the creepy cats and sub-par CGI to the songs and the film itself was hit by both scathing reviews and – even worse – mocking memes, and the musical has since gone to some dark place where people barely ever talk about it or acknowledge its existence anymore.
However James – who played Bustopher in the film – was asked about his role in a new interview with Radio Times. Or, to be more specific: does he regret it?
