A man has been jailed for three years after he followed a blind woman and robbed her in the street.
Steven Ball was seen on CCTV following the woman, who is in her 40s and walks with a white stick, for a considerable distance into Coventry city centre before pouncing in White Street on March 15.
He then pushed her and grabbed her coat, rifling through her pockets to steal just £25 in broad daylight.
Fortunately two passers-by recognised Ball, 42, and he was arrested from his home address in the city later that day.
Although he denied the offence, Ball was also picked out in an ID parade by two witnesses.
