Man Utd plan to ‘execute one of two options’ to block Rashford talks

Rashford only has eight months remaining on his current deal worth an estimated £200,000-a-week, but it appears more likely than ever that United will attempt to tie him down to a longer deal, either by agreeing a new contract or triggering a clause that was included by the club when he put pen to paper in 2018.According to the Daily Mail, triggering the extension would mean Rashford’s deal expires in the summer of 2024, giving the club time to consider whether to offer improved terms on a bumper new contract. The 25-year-old appeared to be heading towards an emotional departure from Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Ralf Rangnick, having scored only seven goals in all competitions in 2021-22.READ MORE: Rangnick had brutal view on Rashford but Man Utd star is back again
