Manchester City record signing Jack Grealish has been joined by his England international teammate Declan Rice in speaking highly of Manchester United’s long-time home
Declan Rice spoke about Manchester United’s “inspiring” Old Trafford ground on Sunday, echoing similar comments from the midfielder’s England teammate Jack Grealish.
Rice, who captained West Ham in their 1-0 defeat against the Red Devils on Sunday, has been on the radar of Man Utd among other clubs. If the 23-year-old does end up leaving east London, his comments about Old Trafford could offer encouragement to supporters of Erik ten Hag’s side.
England star Grealish was also linked with an Old Trafford switch earlier in his career, but instead opted to join the club’s rivals Manchester City in a club record move back in 2021. Things may well have been different, though, with the former Aston Villa star making some telling comments after scoring in an away game against United
“It’s inspiring for sure – it’s Old Trafford,” Rice told Sky Sports on Sunday, “You think of the heritage, the big games that have been here, the top players that’ve played here.
