Biden in crisis as 80 percent of voters say US ‘out of control’

President Biden’s administration could face a dire defeat in the midterms after eight out of ten Americans claimed the US is “out of control”. The POTUS had pledged to “restore the soul of the nation” from polarising politics after the turbulent Trump presidency, however, polls suggest many Americans still believe the nation is in crisis.A YouGov poll for CBS News said those surveyed claim “the country is as turbulent now as it was at the height of protests unleashed by the murder of George Floyd” in 2020.The biggest issues of concern for voters are the economy and inflation, followed by crime, which they believe the Republicans to be better at handling. Many independent voters (88 percent) agree that America is “in chaos”, which could prove damning for the Democrat standing in Congress.Supporters of the two main parties are split over the problem of economy vs democracy, reported The Times.
