Chelsea have been strongly linked with moves for Brighton stars Leandro Trossard and Moises Caicedo as boss Graham Potter seeks to be reunited with his former players. However, the duo are likely to come at a significant cost with the Seagulls searching for big transfer fees to part with two of their star performers. Both players have already talked up the potential of making a move with Chelsea may therefore look to offer Brighton some of their current stars in exchange. The approach has worked with the Seagulls before with defender Levi Colwell joining the club on loan as Marc Cucurella made his big-money move in the opposite direction. Here Express Sport discusses the four options who could potentially be expendable for the Blues as they seek to reunite Potter with his former prodigies. Armando Broja The Albanian striker does not appear to be in the immediate first-team picture at Stamford Bridge having fallen behind both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz for the No 9 berth. He was linked with a move away over the summer for over £35million so could be relied upon to bring down the asking price for Trossard and Caicedo considerably. However, Broja is known to be a favourite of Blues owner Todd Boehly, with the American personally negotiating his new deal which he signed in September. It may therefore be difficult to convince the 49-year-old to sanction a swap to help aid the pursuit of the Brighton duo. (Image: GETTY)Conor Gallagher The England international is yet to properly break into Potter’s first team and is yet to nail down is best position within the team’s system. The 22-year-old is best as a box-to-box midfielder but there does not appear to be a place in the side for that with the former Brighton coach favouring a deeper midfield partnership. Gallagher may struggle to be accepted at the Amex given his links to Crystal Palace but would prove to be a shrewd acquisition given his obvious quality. Yet, it seems unlikely he will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge at this moment in time with hopes still high for his future at his current club. Carney Chukwuemeka (loan) A loan move for the former Aston Villa star may work well for both parties. The Englishman would be an impressive replacement for Trossard in the short term while Chelsea would also benefit from having the player exposed to more game time. Chukwuemeka’s involvement in any deal would be very doable however he is unlikely to bring the asking price down very far, given he would only be joining the club temporarily.DON’T MISSChelsea given price tag for Potter to sign Brighton general CaicedoChelsea boss Potter ruthlessly mocked by Brighton fansPulisic tipped for Newcastle transfer after position change Leandro Trossard and Moises Caicedo have been heavily linked to Chelsea. (Image: GETTY)Omari Hutchinson (loan) Chelsea could look to bolster their move with further loan stars and Hutchinson looks to be the next best within their academy. The Jamaican was plucked from Arsenal over the summer and has been impressing within the club’s youth side’s, finding himself on the bench for the 4-1 defeat by Brighton. It is another move that could work well for both teams as Brighton receive another impressive star for their frontline while Chelsea get closer to a deal to reunite Potter with his some of his favourite ex-players.
