Nancy Pelosi intruder suspect wanted to ‘break her kneecaps’

The man accused of attacking the husband of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi told police he wanted to take her hostage and “break her kneecaps”, according to court papers. David DePape, 42, has been charged with assault and attempted kidnapping by the US Justice Department counts which carry up to 50 years in prison.According to the court papers, Mr DePape told police that he was going to hold Mrs Pelosi hostage and talk to her.If the veteran Italian-American lawmaker told him the “truth,” she would be released but if she lied, he intended to “break her kneecaps”, it has been reported.Mr DePape is accused of breaking into the Pelosi household in San Francisco on Friday and assaulting Mr Pelosi, 82.According to the federal affidavit filed on Monday Mr DePape confronted Mr Pelosi as he slept in the bedroom.
