A takeaway delivery driver in his early 20s is among two people killed as a fatal shooting erupted in a residential street in south London.
Armed police rushed to Railton Road in Brixton shortly before 8pm on Sunday after residents reported hearing up to 12 gunshots and the sound of a vehicles colliding.
Detectives say the delivery driver was knocked off his moped by a car thought to have been pursued by another vehicle down the road.
As the rider lay injured, a man is said to have exited the car involved in the collision and was shot dead by an occupant of the pursuing vehicle after a brief chase on foot.
The moped rider was making his last delivery of the night and had been planning to return home to Brazil in the coming weeks, according to a Deliveroo driver working nearby who said he knew him.
