Actor Bob Barrett, who played Dr Sacha Levy, will guest star in an upcoming episode of Casualty. A BBC spokesperson confirmed the news to Digital Spy saying: "Sacha will be appearing in an episode of Casualty airing next year." Bob played Sacha for 12 years before Holby City was axed, and has appeared in Casualty as the character before. Fans of both medical dramas had previously wondered if Sacha was heading to Casualty after Jason Durr - who plays David Hide - shared two snaps with Bob on the set. He wrote alongside the snaps of them hugging, with big smiles on their faces: "Had a gas with the lovely #bobbarrett on the @bbccasualtyofficial set recently." Jason has also starred in Holby City before, when David stepped in to help with a staff shortage on the Darwin ward. Holby City's axing was announced in June 2021. At the time, a statement was released saying: "We sometimes have to make difficult decisions to make room for new opportunities. "As part of the BBC's commitment to make more programmes across the UK, we have taken the difficult decision to bring the show to a close in order to reshape the BBC's drama slate to better reflect, represent and serve all parts of the country."
