Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh has revealed she kept her pregnancy hidden from bandmate Sarah Harding, following the star’s breast cancer diagnosis.
According to Kimberley, she chose to kept the news from the late pop star amid fears it would be too painful for her during treatment.
Just a month after learning of Harding’s battle with ‘advanced’ breast cancer in late 2020, Kimberly discovered she was pregnant with her third child and, knowing chemotherapy treatment would rob her bandmate and close friend of any chance of naturally having children in the future, she feared it would be unfair to share the news at that time.
During a conversation with Sophie Ellis-Baxter on her podcast, Spinning Plates, Kimberley revealed she felt too guilty to share news of another pregnancy while Harding was battling.
Before she tragically died at the age of 39 last September, Harding dreamt of being a mother and poured her time into her bandmate Kimberley’s three children, Bobby, Cole and Nate as a result.
