Funnyman James Corden, who married wife Julia Carey back in 2012, invited a number of celebrity guests including Jimmy Carr, David Walliams and Peter Jones
No expense was spared when James Corden married Julia Carey at a star-studded ceremony back in September 2012. The Gavin & Stacey star and the former charity publicist, who got engaged on Christmas Day back in 2010, invited 200 guests to their lavish £250,000 nuptials at uber-swish Babington House in Somerset.
At the time, a source said: “James has been so over-excited about the Âwedding and wanted to make sure it was everything they imagined. It was just close friends and family and a very special day for them both.” The couple, who now have three kids together, were serenaded by Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol at the end of the service, while hip hop stars Rizzle Kicks and Radio DJ Chris Moyles provided the reception entertainment.
Julia, who had given birth to their first child Max the year before, looked stunning in an elegant £8,000 wedding gown covered in lace by designer Monique Lhuillier.
The posh Babington House, a 32-bedroom former stately home that is now a hotel and private members’ club for Soho House, was the venue for the three-day celebration, which began with a drinks reception on the Friday evening.
