However, Twitter user GGFTL soon discovered that the jungle footage in the teaser actually comes from a free-to-download assets pack for Unreal Engine 5. With it not being Virtuos' own work, some are now dismissing the initial teaser as fake. No one can quite agree whether a supposed teaser for a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is real or not due to its use of pre-made assets.
Aside from Silent Hill, it was also rumoured that Konami plans to revive its Metal Gear Solid franchise with a series of remakes and/or remasters.
While the Silent Hill rumours were recently proven true, there’s no official word on anything new to do with Metal Gear Solid.
