Lewis Hamilton explains reason for snapping with Fernando Alonso dig

Lewis Hamilton has explained why he made a public dig at Fernando Alonso hours before the Mexican Grand Prix. The Mercedes star posted an image of the pair on the podium at the 2007 United States Grand Prix with a simple thumbs up emoticon.It comes after Alonso suggested Max Verstappen’s titles were ‘worth more’ than Hamilton’s due to the competitiveness of last season. Hamilton made the social media dig just hours before the start of the Mexican Grand Prix where he was embroiled in an on-track battle with the Dutchman.Speaking after the race, Hamilton said Alonso’s comment ‘made him giggle’ but hinted he was annoyed at the remarks. That’s my thumbs up. I don’t really have a lot to say about it.
