A 55-year-old British tourist collapsed after getting out of the sea at the beach in Praia dos Alemães, Portugal, and later was pronounced dead at the scene
A British tourist has died after getting out of the sea and feeling unwell at a popular beach in Portugal.
Emergency services rushed to the beach of Praia dos Alemães in Albufeira, just after 1.30pm on Thursday, following reports a man had gone into cardiac arrest.
The 55-year-old unnamed patient sadly died at the scene, according to local reports.
The National Maritime Authority said he was initially helped by lifeguards and other beachgoers.
