Man Utd and Liverpool learn eye-watering price to sign Moises Caicedo

Manchester United and Liverpool won’t be able to nab Moises Caicedo on the cheap in January as Brighton have supposedly named their price. The heavyweight Premier League duo are unlikely to be the only ones in contention to land the Ecuadorian after a superb start to the season. Caicedo was snapped up by Brighton in 2021 as technical director Dan Ashworth pulled the trigger on a bargain transfer from Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle. He spent the first six months of his stint on the south coast on loan at Belgian outfit Beerschot. Having been recalled to the Amex Stadium in January, he immediately impressed then-manager Graham Potter and barged his way into the first team.
