The Bastard Son and the Devil Himself is based on a young adult novel by Sally Green and the Netflix adaptation follows the feud between Fairborn and Blood Witches. Nathan Byrn (played by Jay Lycurgo) is feared to be a Blood Witch as he is the son of the evil Marcus Edge (David Gyasi).
