John Lewis small print cost me £2.5k

I am in a dispute with John Lewis after it wiped £2,500 from a voucher card. I bought vouchers via a salary saving scheme operated by my company and originally received paper coupons, which didn’t expire. John Lewis changed them to a plastic gift card that was credited with my monthly savings, but did not publicise any change in the terms and conditions to me.

The new terms and conditions are found on the back of the card in small print when you take the card off the paper it comes adhered to. At no time did John Lewis let me know that the amount would expire in two years or that I could retain the amount by doing a balance check, otherwise I would
