When Potter stepped out in front of the Amex crowd he was booed by sections of the home fans as his return to the club was marred by mixed emotions. Former Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella was also booed by the home fans after his summer move to Chelsea for a huge £62million. And there were even chants of "Potter, what's the score?" after Brighton took an early lead through Leandro Trossard. When Potter left for Stamford Bridge earlier this month, he asked for forgiveness from the Brighton faithful. He said: "This has been three wonderful years with a club that has changed my life and I want to take a moment to say goodbye to all of you who have made it such a special period of my career.
