Furious Londoners lose patience with mob as protester dragged off road

Britons are outraged at more Just Stop Oil protests throughout London this Saturday. In a statement on Twitter, they said: At noon today, 61 Just Stop Oil supporters stopped traffic on Charing Cross Road, Kensington High Street, Kennington Road and Blackfriars Road, demanding that the Government halts all new oil and gas consents and licences.’In a video, a man storms off after taking a Just Stop Oil banner while swearing.Later on, the man in a grey sweatshirt grabs a protector sitting on a crossing and pulls him off.He shouts ‘I’ve got work to do’ while another man eggs him on and says ‘go on, take them’.The man dragged away then returns to his spot on the crossing and sits back down. Britons are outraged at more Just Stop Oil protests throughout London this Saturday (Image: TALKTV)In another video posted on Just Stop Oil’s Twitter account, multiple people are seen dragging protestors off the road.A man is heard in the clip saying ‘you lot hold them back because its f****** pathetic’.The man then says ‘go to parliament, go to Westminster’, as another man kicks backs and pushes those sitting on the road.Alongside the clip, Just Stop Oil posted a comment from Anna Berrill, a 20-year-old philosophy student from Leeds, who said: ‘I’m doing this because it breaks my heart to witness the tragedies that are happening and will keep coming because of our actions, and to live in a crumbling world and not do anything is unbearable.’The Metropolitan Police tweeted: “We are aware of Just Stop Oil protests in Kensington High Street, Charing Cross Road, Kennington Park Road and Blackfriars Road. Police were immediately on scene and a number of arrests have been made.”Protesters have used ‘lock-ons’ and glued themselves to the road. Charing Cross Road has now been cleared and is back open to traffic. Work is ongoing to reopen the other roads as soon as possible.”MORE TO FOLLOW
