Jake Paul is leaning into his influencer boxing past with the undercard for tonight’s fight with UFC legend Anderson Silva in Arizona.
Once a YouTuber and Disney Channel star, Paul has devoted his life to boxing over the past three years, and is 5-0 as a professional with knockout wins over all four of his opponents. He started on cards with social media influencers in white collar bouts, but has attempted to steer away from that image as he builds up his respect in legitimate circles within the sport.
However, he has returned to his crossover boxing roots with a star-studded undercard that includes Dr Mike Varshavski, who has over 10million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He will face Chris Avila, a teammate of Nate Diaz’s, on a card that also features NFL running back Le’Veon Bell taking on former UFC fighter Uriah Hall.
