A couple spent hours combing a beach in darkness in search of a £14,000 engagement ring, after it disappeared in the sand during a photoshoot.

Kirsten Durand, 31, and Tory Parker, 30, were posing on the beach when their ring slipped from its box.

With the tide rapidly approaching, the couple had no choice but to arm themselves with sieves and a metal detector and start frantically searching the beach before their ring got washed away.

Finally their photographer, Yakira Parise, came to the rescue and was able to recover the priceless piece of jewellery.
