British No.1 Emma Raducanu has endured a difficult season with injury and has expressed her disappointment at the latest setback
Emma Raducanu has pulled out of next month’s Billie Jean King Cup in Glasgow – and ended her season – because of a right wrist injury.
The former US Open champion had pulled out of the Transylvania Open with the problem which has dogged her for the last couple of months.
It ends a troubled campaign for the British No.1 which started with a pre-season disrupted by Covid and she has since suffered blisters, back and various muscle issues.
The world No.76 now aims to work on her overall fitness with Andy Murray ‘s former trainer Jez Green before playing a December exhibition match in Abu Dhabi and heading to the Australian Open.
