West End showgirl in court battle with son who claims she forged husband’s will

Jobyna Watts inherited her husband’s estate when Eustace Watts died in 2008. Their son Carlton, 64, claims the former West End star ‘defrauded’ his father’s estate

A former West End showgirl is locked in a court battle with her own son over claims she forged her husband’s will to scoop his £8 million fortune.

Jobyna Watts, 92, inherited her husband’s estate when Eustace Watts died in 2008, leaving their son Carlton without a penny.

The 64-year-old has now taken his mother to the High Court to challenge his father’s will, insisting that the former cabaret star “defrauded” the man’s estate.

Mrs Watts, however, insists her son’s claims are motivated by “animosity and spite” with her barrister telling the judge: “This isn’t how she should be spending her golden years.”
