Arsenal loanee Pablo Mari has thanked fans for their support and provided an update from his hospital bed after being stabbed in a mass attack at a supermarket in Milan on Thursday.

The 29-year-old, who is on loan at Serie A club Monza, had been walking around a shopping centre with his wife and son in Milanofiori in Assago, a town in Milan, when he and five others were attacked.
Italy’s Carabinieri police said a 47-year-old supermarket employee was killed while five others were left injured, including Mari.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, former Napoli player Massimo Tarantino was among those who immobilised and disarmed the attacker before he was arrested by police.
