Richard Keys has called out Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards for their ‘behaviour’ during a Q&A with presenter Kate Abdo.
Keys, who hosts beIN Sports’ Premier League coverage, resigned from his role as Sky Sports’ anchor in 2011 after a series of videos highlighting his sexist remarks off camera were brought to light.
But the 65-year-old has now taken exception to the conduct of Carragher and Richards during a light-hearted interview with Abdo during CBS Sports’ Champions League coverage.
The segment began with Carragher asking Abdo to name the most impressive footballer she’s ever interviewed. When Abdo asked, ‘impressive in what sense?’, Carragher replied with a smile, ‘you tell me’.
Abdo then went on to name Lionel Messi, Pele and Diego Maradona as three of the most well-known footballers she’s interviewed during her broadcasting career.
