Pasta has always been the last frontier of takeaways. Indian, Thai, sushi and pizza don’t suffer too much from home delivery. But ordering a bowl of pasta alla puttanesca on a delivery app is a bit like getting a new prime minister. You have no idea what kind of mess you’ll end up with.
Enter Jamie Oliver. The chef has just launched Pasta Dreams, a delivery-only pasta restaurant, and says this is about to change. “Historically, pasta hasn’t travelled well,” he says. “Until now.” Unlike many other restaurants on the delivery apps that send their pasta as a kit rather than the finished dish, Pasta Dreams offers food that comes hot and ready to eat.
