TV favourite Gurlaine, 29, said she was proud of Danielle for handling the storyline with sensitivity and grace. Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Gurlaine said: "I am so sad to see Danielle Harold leave, she is an incredible person and an incredible actress. "She showed me around on my very first day and her dressing room is down the corridor from mine, she is so lovely and will be missed." Opening up about Danielle's portrayal at the Ethnicity Awards 2022, she said: "She is doing so much justice to the storyline. "It is so incredibly important and it's so fragile and so many people are going to relate to this, and she is portraying this in such a beautiful authentic way. "I was emotional when I learnt that Danielle was leaving and about the storyline as my uncle passed away from a brain tumour, so watching it, you can really relate. "When Lola found out the other day that she had a brain tumour, it was really heartbreaking. "Danielle is a talented actress, and I can't wait for people to see that side to her, as she's going to go on a real journey. "The show has been working with a brain tumour charity to ensure the story is told the right way and she has handled the emotional scenes really well; we are all really proud of her."
