A death row prisoner took a razor blade and broken glass to his own penis after guards denied him a food package.
Prison officials refused the special meal and Henry Eugene Hodges, 56, reportedly covered his cell wall in faeces as part of a dirty protest against the guards’ decision.
He was due to receive the food after recent good behaviour.
In a bid to get him to stop smearing faeces, the guard stopped providing him with food, further upsetting him and causing Henry to slit his wrists on October 7.
