Ten Hag explains unhappiness with Garnacho after Man Utd beat Sheriff

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has revealed he was unhappy with Alejandro Garnacho during the early embers of the season following his side’s 3-0 win over Sheriff on Thursday night. The Red Devils cruised to victory in their Europa League clash, with goals from Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford and Cristiano Ronaldo giving them all three points. And it now sets things up nicely for next week’s showdown with Real Sociedad, who currently sit top of the group having won all five of their matches in the competition so far.Manchester United were too strong for Sheriff on Thursday, beating the minnows for the second time this season to make it four Europa League wins out of a possible five.Dalot got the ball rolling just before half time, with the Portugal international heading home for his second goal in a red shirt.Rashford then produced a header of his own after the interval, converting after a pinpoint cross from Luke Shaw – who had come on for Diogo Dalot. And Ronaldo got in on the act in the closing stages, with the 37-year-old converting at the second attempt for his third goal of the campaign. One player who was arguably the biggest positive of the lot, however, was Garnacho – whose speed and trickery caused the Sheriff backline all sorts of problems on the night.Man Utd transfers: Plans for next three signings are damning on Solskjaer Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has hailed Alejandro Garnacho after Sheriff win (Image: GETTY) Man Utd duo Erik ten Hag and Alejandro Garnacho will be aiming to win trophies together (Image: GETTY) Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag was unhappy with Alejandro Garnacho earlier this season (Image: GETTY)’The thing I liked about him: he was direct, he ran at defenders all the time. I was impressed: Sometimes, wingers, sometimes they can’t go down that left hand side, but he could do both, and it makes you so unpredictable.’I think his performance was exciting for an 18 year old kid but he was one to look for the future.’And Owen Hargreaves weighed in with: “He was exceptional.WIN A FREE ENGLAND SHIRT FOR THE WORLD CUP!
