A second woman has alleged that Herschel Walker, the pro-life Republican candidate for US Senate in Georgia, encouraged and paid for her abortion after she became pregnant with his child. The former NFL star has been branded a “hypocrite” by his accuser after his public anti-abortion stance. The woman, who has chosen to remain anonymous and use the pseudonym Jane Doe, spoke to reporters through a conference call on Wednesday afternoon. She alleged that in April 1993, following a six-year romance, Herschel pressured her into getting an abortion, which he drove her to and paid for. She alleged that he waited in the car outside the clinic while she terminated the pregnancy. She said: “I was confused, uncertain, and scared. After discussing the pregnancy with Herschel several times, he encouraged me to have an abortion and gave me money to do so.”Herschel says he is against women having abortions, but he pressured me to have one.” Herschel has faced two accusations he pressured and forced passed lovers into getting an abortion (Image: Getty)Her attorney, Gloria Allred, presented reporters with a number of exhibits including alleged love letters signed with ‘H’, a voicemail from 1992 and a hotel receipt to prove the pair had a relationship between the late 1980s and 1990s. However, there was no physical evidence directly supporting that she had had an abortion at Walker’s request. Express.co.uk has not obtained the purported evidence. It comes after Herschel faced a separate claim earlier this month from another anonymous woman that said he had pressured her and paid for her to get an abortion in 2009.She said he wanted to end the pregnancy as it was ‘not the right time’ for them to have a child, and claimed he reimbursed her for the cost of the procedure.READ MORE: NASA news: Hubble spots a monster star 200,000 times brighter than Sun Walker has denied the allegations (Image: Getty) Opponent Raphael Warnock is in favour of abortions (Image: Getty)The woman claimed a receipt from an abortion clinic showing a $575 payment was evidence, as well as a get well card allegedly from Mr Walker. She also claimed a bank deposit receipt with a picture of a signed $700 personal cheque allegedly from Mr Walker was evidence. The Republican candidate, who has the backing of Donald Trump, is competing with Democrat Raphael Warnock in November’s mid-term race.He has denied both claims that he pressured and paid for the two women’s abortions, saying of the first claims that it was a “flat-out lie” and a “repugnant hatchet job”. He also claimed he was going to sue the publication that printed the story – the Daily Beast – for what he called a “defamatory lie”. Walker has said he is in favour of a total abortion ban, in line with Republican policy in the aftermath of the US supreme court ruling which revoked the right to abortion in June. He has spoken publicly about his anti-abortion views (Image: Getty)Of the latest allegation, Mr Walker said: “I’m done with this foolishness. I already told people this is a lie, and I’m not going to entertain, continue, to carry a lie along.”Mr Walker is locked in an extremely close race with Mr Warnock, a pastor at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta who supports abortion. Speaking about the abortion allegations, Mr Warnock’s campaign spokeswoman Rachel Petri said on Wednesday: “Today’s new report is just the latest example of a troubling pattern we have seen play out again and again and again.”A new East Carolina University poll has a small two percentage point lead among likely voters.
