Celebrity weight loss transformations have always kept fans on their toes and when Denise Welsh stepped out in a swimsuit during a cruising holiday in August, her followers were left in awe at her progress. Beaming at the camera, the Loose Women presenter looked the epitome of health and it comes after she revealed she had dropped a whopping two stone.Denise has spoken openly about her weight over the years and previously told Express.co.uk that giving up alcohol was “one of the best decisions I’ve ever made”.But while some people may see a big difference in their weight after cutting out booze, the actress began to replace the drink with sugary treats and soon piled on the pounds.”There is this thing that if you take alcohol out of your life, you immediately lose weight,” she explained.”But actually, it’s very often the case that the complete opposite is true.READ MORE: Diet: Expert warns against common mistake The diet plan Denise Welch used to lose two stone in two months (Image: GETTY)”If you are an addictive personality, which I am, you very often replace one addiction with another.”So I gave up alcohol and started to replace it with what could have been a potential food addiction.”She added: “Obviously as well I had years of sugar from the alcohol that had been surging through my veins suddenly removed.
