Holby City star Chizzy Akudolu seriously hopes the BBC soap gets picked up by another channel.
It was the end of an era for devoted viewers in March this year, as the long-running medical drama aired its final scenes.
Holby City was on for 23 years, with the first episode airing on January 12, 1999.
BBC bosses announced plans to axe the programme last summer, which led to outrage and shock.
