Adama Traore shows no mercy after fans challenge Wolves star to race

Wolves winger Adama Traore was spotted taking part in a race against a number of young fans in a video clip posted to Twitter on Wednesday evening. The 26-year-old recently returned to the Wolves starting side after spending the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona and scored his first Premier League goal since January against Crystal Palace last week.Traore’s headed effort at Selhurst Park took his tally to two goals for the season in all competitions, although he was unable to score again at the next opportunity as Wolves fell to a heavy defeat at the hands of Leicester City on Saturday. The Spanish winger still appeared to be in good spirits on Wednesday, though, as he was filmed racing several young fans in a car park after being challenged to show off his blistering pace. The Wolves man did not show any mercy as he sped away from the rest of the field, although it did not seem as though he was trying too hard in spite of his comfortable victory. Traore also posed for photos with a big smile on his face and was praised for his kindness by Twitter user @charliebeau1 after the latter had posted the video clip, which garnered plenty of attention from other Wolves fans.He wrote: “When my lad and his cousins challenge Adama to a race!! The former Middlesbrough man will be out of contract next summer as things stand and is not expected to sign a new deal any time soon, which suggests that Wolves could look to cash in by selling him at the turn of the year.Traore has recently been tipped to pursue a return to Spain after outlining his desire to go back to his native country when quizzed on his future earlier this month. He insisted in an interview with AS that he has a ‘very clear’ desire to play in La Liga once again but insisted that his full focus will remain with Wolves until the day he leaves the club.DON’T MISSFour players Arsenal could sign as £50m budget set aside for JanuaryChelsea have answer to Kai Havertz conundrum as German finds formNewcastle dealt Bruno Guimaraes transfer worry with ‘many clubs’ keen The Spaniard has scored two Premier League goals for Wolves so far this season (Image: EXPRESS)”Yes, of course,” said Traore when asked if he would be willing to play in Spain after the end of his spell at Wolves. “Spain is the country that I love and where I was born. It is very clear, but everything in its time.”I returned to Barcelona for a few months because it is a decision I made. I had other options but I went back there and helped and I will surely return. I don’t know where, but I’m sure I’ll be back one day. Right now I am focused on the season and continuing to grow.”Traore is also targeting a place in the Spain squad for this year’s World Cup despite being overlooked by Luis Enrique since failing to make an appearance at Euro 2020 last summer. He added: “Now that I’m back I’ll do my best to go. I think it’s the dream of every player, it’s the coach’s decision, and if the coach calls me, then I’ll be at his service, it is the dream of every Spanish player to defend the flag.”WIN A FREE ENGLAND SHIRT FOR THE WORLD CUP!
