The PFL is MMA's only league format, consisting of qualifying and knockout stages. Stars in each weight have two regular season bouts, with points are earned per method of victory. The top four in each weight then progress to the knockout stages where a winner-take-all $1m prize and title belt await. Wooding, 9-5, is the former Cage Warriors champion, who most recently fought in October losing to Michele Martignoni, 26. But now he is braced to become the PFL's latest marquee signing from the UK.
