Arsenal urged to raid Man Utd to sign ‘devastating’ Marcus Rashford

Arsenal have been urged to make an audacious swoop for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford if he doesn’t sign a new contract at Old Trafford. Rashford’s current deal is ticking down, and a potential expiry could pave the way for the latest high-profile transfer between the two Premier League heavyweights.Arsenal are enjoying a sensational season under Mikel Arteta and are the Premier League leaders after nine wins from their opening 11 games. Meanwhile, Rashford has had a revival of his own this campaign and looks almost back to his lively best while leading the line in Erik ten Hag’s new-look United side. But his contract expires at the end of the season, with the option to extend for a further year, and there is little talk of extension negotiations progressing. With that said, former Everton and Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell believes the Gunners could seal a coup if he became available for free or for a cut-price fee.He told Football Insider: “He [Rashford] ticks some really good boxes for Arsenal. On the counter-attack, he can be devastating. He undid Arsenal at Old Trafford earlier this season with his speed. Rashford can be devastating on his day; we know that.JUST IN: Newcastle dealt Bruno Guimaraes transfer worry with ‘many clubs’ keen Arsenal could secure a bargain deal for Marcus Rashford. He is an international player who has played on the big stages. He knows how to get games won. That is what Arsenal lack sometimes. It would be great to have a player of his experience as part of the rotation.”Alexis Sanchez, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Danny Welbeck and Robin van Persie are examples of forwards who have most recently switched allegiances between the two clubs. And Rashford could be tempted to join the party if there is an enticing offer on the table and United’s Champions League absence continues.READ MORE: Chelsea staff ‘joked’ about Cristiano Ronaldo after Todd Boehly talks Marcus Rashford’s Man Utd contract expires next summer.
