Lola, as viewers know, was diagnosed with a tumour earlier this week, after she suffered a seizure which resulted in her ending up in hospital. The popular character was told that the tumour was likely cancer, and the consultant confirmed such a thing in Wednesday's (October 26) edition of the soap. Lola has been booked in for surgery next week to remove as much of the tumour as possible, and the consultant urged her to stay put in hospital in the meantime, but Lola was adamant that she wanted to go home. Upon arriving back in Walford, she told her loved ones that all was fine, much to Jay Brown's (Jamie Borthwick) horror, but Lola didn't want to worry anyone. Things, however, took a shocking turn when she felt a bit dizzy while out and about, and thus she resolved to return to hospital to be in the safe side. Before that, she broke the news of her tumour to Billy and Honey Mitchell (Perry Fenwick and Emma Barton) and Ben (Max Bowden), who were all left in complete and utter shock. Billy broke down in tears, but Lola assured him that she was going to fight the cancer, as they embraced. EastEnders legend Rudolph Walker, 83, rules out retirement: 'What's that?!'Ben, meanwhile, asked what they should do about Lexi, but Lola didn't know the answer to that question. Little did either of them know, however, that Lexi had overheard the whole thing, meaning that she already knows about her mum's diagnosis. Just how will she react?
