Rishi Sunak is facing his first PMQs as new Prime Minister.
The PM was welcomed into the Commons with thanks from the Labour leader Keir Starmer and cheers rung out from the Tory benches.
He was then pressed by Starmer on his decision to appoint Suella Braverman as the Home Secretary.
He said she had accepted it was an ‘error of judgement’ that had cost her job as she was asked to resign by Liz Truss just a week ago.
But he then defended the decision to announce her as part of his Cabinet yesterday.
