The 38-year-old presented has worked for the BBC for years, joining back in 2008. She previously attended Cambridge University and graduated with a degree in law and economics. Before joining the BBC in 2008, she worked for Breaking Views, a financial commentary site which is now part of Reuters. Victoria now hosts BBC's morning global news programmes on BBC One, BBC News and BBC World News. The star has recently announced her split from her husband of 11 years, Dan Fritz. They have two young children together, the first of which arrived in 2016 and had Sally Nugent act as the birthing partner. This happened due to Victoria going into early labour whilst at work, and Sally went to the hospital with her. On Tuesday, October 26, Victoria tweeted a link to a blog post of hers, titled "What's in a name?" highlighting that all of her social media handles had changed. She explained that she's now going by Victoria Valentine, not Fritz, due to her recent seperation. Victoria wrote: "The reasons for the breakdown of my marriage are private." She added: "Call me old fashioned, but airing dirty laundry is undignified at the best of times. Plus, I have two wonderful young children to consider. Protecting their wellbeing and right to a private life will always be my priorities. "Yet, however private I wish to keep my private life, there is an aspect of it that will always remain as much in public hands as it is in my own. And that is my name."
