The Repair Shop’s Jay Blades details connection to ‘old mate’ Charles

Jay Blades and Kirsten Ramsay appeared on Morning Live on Wednesday to talk about the upcoming royal special of The Repair Shop. Earlier this year, the BBC show took a visit to Dumfries House in Scotland where King Charles asked for the workshop team’s help in restoring a couple of his own items. Explaining how Charles’ involvement happened, Jay said: ‘How it came about with the former Prince of Wales is I’m an ambassador to the Prince’s foundation and I was going up there to have a little tour and see what they were doing.’Presenter Gethin Jones remarked: ‘It’s such a lovely story.
