I bought a property, got married, had children, and then later on we moved into a family home in East Sussex. But I’ve now been through a divorce, and four years ago I moved into a rented property in Tunbridge Wells. By the end of the divorce process I only had a small amount of money. I wanted to get back on the property ladder, and started looking around, but kept hitting a brick wall. I wanted to buy a home with my new partner, Debbie, and we had a deposit of about £20,000.
