But at its worst, Matty's – what he now dubs – 'exaggerated version' of himself in interviews, has been accused racism, misogyny, Islamophobia, and antisemitism with accusations going as far back as when the group found fame in 2013. When Matty started seemingly dating Taylor Swift, 33, earlier this year – which was obviously massive news because everyone is obsessed with the country megastar's love life – these controversial clips of the singer resurfaced. In recent months, Matty has come under fire for calling Harry Styles a 'queerbaiter' and laughing at derogatory comments towards Ice Spice, and he's even been called out on a Glastonbury stage by Rina Sawayama.
