Other changes include some bug fixes for surround sound, Premier and the Agents Gekko and Cypher
Valorant patch 7.07 is here alongside a litany of new patch notes, which sees Riot roll back one of the most controversial changes of the previous update.
One of the biggest changes made in the last major Valorant patch was an update to the competitive mode which restricted players in Ascendant rank to only being able to invite players with Platinum rank or higher to their ranked party. This was done in an effort to quell a wave of rank boosting, however this also had the consequence of players now being unable to play with their friends when there’s a rank deficit.
Now with Valorant patch 7.07 Riot Games has come to the conclusion that perhaps people being able to play with their friends is a good thing, as the company has rolled back the controversial change just two weeks later. Riot said “In the end, we realized that your ability to have flexibility with your 5 stack was more important than the very small number of people who abuse this exploit” in the Valorant 1.07 patch notes. While it’s good that it has listened to feedback, I wasn’t sure why this change was made in the first place.
