Jake Abraham dead: Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star, 56, dies

Jake Abraham, best-known for his role inLock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, has died aged 56 after revealing that he had been diagnosed with cancer.

Tributes have been made across X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook for the actor, who has also been dearly remembered for his performances on stage.

Abraham starred in the 1998 heist film – which was Guy Ritchie’s directorial debut – as Dean, with the cast also featuring the likes of Vinnie Jones, Jason Statham and Sting.

David Morrissey wrote in tribute to the late performer: ‘RIP Jake Abraham. Top bloke and wonderful performer. Gone way too soon. RIP,’ while Royal Court Liverpool shared in a post: ‘So sad to hear the news today. One of Liverpool’s best. One of our friends. Sending our condolences and love to Jake’s family and friends. You will be dearly missed by us all.’
