Suchita and Savita Naidu were born in Camden, north London, before moving to Malaysia in 2005 when they were three years old. The pair grew up as sisters, but have been brother and sister since Savita transitioned to male three years ago. But the twins always knew they were different, with Suchita saying she never recognised her sibling as a girl while they grew up, while Savita knew he was different from the age of five. As children Suchita loved Barbie, make-up and anything pink while Savita refused to wear dresses and loved cars, football and motorbikes. At age 10 their family moved back to the UK, and the twins attended Watford Grammar School for Girls. Savita came out as gay in 2016, and as a trans man in 2020, which the twins say brought them closer than ever before. Three years later, Savita is now preparing to support sister Suchita's bid to be crowned the next Miss England after she reached the pageant's semi-finals. 'I was in girls clothes and Savita was always in boys clothes even back then. 'We could not have been more different. But at that age we weren't familiar with LGBT issues but I remember being five or six and thinking 'my twin sister is not a girl'.
