A raft of SNP MPs are poised to lose their jobs at the general election, according to new seat-by-seat polling analysis.
The UK-wide analysis found that the SNP is on course to drop 23 seats but secure 25 others and hold Glasgow.
One of the constituencies the nationalists are forecast to take in the wake of a coming boundaries shake-up is the new East Kilbride and Strathaven seat, which is subject of a bitter selection contest.
Grant Costello, a party staff member, is challenging Lisa Cameron, the MP for East Kilbride, Strathaven and Lesmahagow, which will undergo boundary changes to create the new seat. She has claimed she is the victim of an “orchestrated” attempt to deselect her.
Allies of Cameron have accused a
