 Ella Morgan Clark is one of the brave singletons who wed a stranger on Married At First Sight, but for her, it's always been about much more than just finding love. The 29-year-old clinic consultant from Weston-Super-Mare has made 'herstory' as the first trans bride on the E4 programme, and as well as trying to find a happily ever after, Ella wanted to give a positive portrayal of her community. 'Since I've transitioned, I try to say yes to everything within reason,' Ella told Metro.co.uk. 'I promised myself that I would take opportunities when they came to me because of what I've survived. She continued: 'There were times before and during my transition when I didn't want to be here anymore. 'Suicide and assisted suicide in the trans community is high because of the misunderstanding and the way that we are treated by a lot of society.' Ella signed up for Married at First Sight after vowing to never waste a second of her life (Picture: Channel 4 / REX) A recent study found that 88% of trans people had experienced suicidal thoughts*. 'I didn't die, and there's a reason I'm still here on this planet. 'I genuinely believe everyone is here for a reason. 'I didn't know what mine was, but I knew it was something. 'Now, I believe it's to spread a message, give a voice to trans people and show our dating experience. 'I've had some bad relationships, where men have been happy with me but then ashamed to be open about our relationship because I'm trans, and that's not just something I've experienced. She continued: 'When I got my application accepted by MAFS I thought this is my chance to change my luck and do something incredible.
