Emmerdale aired an exit for one character on the ITV soap on Tuesday night in the fallout to a life-changing discovery, as one couple were revealed to have a secret child
Emmerdale fans saw one character flee the village on Tuesday night in a sudden exit following some big news.
The villager in question packed his bags and took some time out following a huge bombshell in a recent episode, as viewers learned they had a secret child. Ryan Stocks left the village to take some time away after his son Oscar came back into his life unexpectedly. Ryan and his current partner Gail had dated over a decade ago before splitting up.
It’s now been revealed Gail fell pregnant and welcomed a baby boy, but she and Ryan agreed to have him adopted. Recently, Oscar’s adoptive mother had got into contact with Gail confirming her son, now 13, is unwell, and in need of treatment. Oscar was diagnosed with a rare type of aplastic anaemia and needed a stem cell transplant – with it hoped Gail or Ryan might be a match.
Gail initially kept the news from Ryan about the contact with Sophie and Oscar, and also didn’t tell Oscar or Sophie that Ryan was with her again now. Ryan finally found out in a recent episode but he struggled with the idea of meeting his son, who has not been in his life. At the hospital Ryan couldn’t go through with seeing him and left.
