New York Jets add new quarterback to roster after Robert Saleh statement on Zach Wilson

The New York Jets are looking set to add a new quarterback to their roster following the injury to four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers and question marks over Zach Wilson

The New York Jets look set to sign a new quarterback following the injury to Aaron Rodgers – despite head coach Robert Saleh’s commitment to playing Zach Wilson.

Rodgers sustained an Achilles’ tendon injury for the Jets in their Week One opener against the Buffalo Bills on September 11. The veteran quarterback had taken part in just four players on his NFL debut for the Jets but has now been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Wilson has stepped in to replace the injured Rodgers as the starting quarterback for the Jets. The QB has entered his third season at the MetLife Stadium after being drafted with the second overall pick in 2021.

In the aftermath of the injury sustained by Rodgers, rumours began to swirl over whether or not the Jets would move to sign a new quarterback. And it seems that after two weeks of having Wilson stand in for Rodgers, a decision has been made.
