Aaron Rodgers speaks on Zach Wilson woes and aims sly dig at New York Jets fans

The injured quarterback spoke openly about his concerns regarding the negativity surrounding the New York Jets after two defeats in succession and called on fans to get behind Zach Wilson

Aaron Rodgers has issued a rallying cry to his New York Jets teammates and fans to keep the faith amid the team’s struggles following his season-ending injury.

The Jets did recover to beat the Buffalo Bills 22-16 in dramatic circumstances with an overtime touchdown in their opener but morale has since dropped. A torn Achilles sustained by Rodgers after just four plays seems to have cast a long shadow and they have now lost two games on the spin.

Their 15-10 defeat against the New England Patriots followed a 30-10 loss versus the Dallas Cowboys, with the Jets seemingly struggling. Despite his injury, stricken quarterback Rodgers has now called on his teammates to turn things around after two disappointing results.

Speaking on the ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ on ESPN, he said: “I think we need to hold our poise a little bit better across the board. Just offensively, we need to not have some of those things happen on the sideline and to be a little better and to be a, just be a little better competitors.”
